How To Get Rid Of Acne On Your Back

Getting rid of bacne (acne that appears on the back) can be a hard task as it is located in an awkward place as its difficult to see and applying any sort of treatment on your own can also be difficult. The alternative is to get someone to apply any treatment on your bacne but this is not an option for some who are very sensitive an do not like to show anyone there acne. That is why I have created a list of treatments on how to get rid of acne on your back that can be done by yourself and are all very effective in clearing the condition.

5  Tips To Clear Acne From Your Back

1. Use a loofa sponge to exfoliate the skin. This will help to clear acne that appears on the back by removing dead skin cells and unclogging blocked pores. Do not exfoliate the skin excessively as this can irritate the acne.

2. Bathe in salt water, make sure that the water is cleanse first. After you have gotten out of the water lie down on your belly with the sun on your back for 8-minutes, repeat the processes every few days/weeks. You should see an improvement after the first time you use this method. Warning, make sure to use a non-comedogenic oil-free sun lotion after getting out of the water avoid being sun burnt and do not do this at peak times when the sun is at its strongest.

3.Use a cleanser that has been specifically created to clear acne off your back. To Apply just rub over your back as best you can for 30-60 seconds then jump in the shower/bath to wash off. This will ensure that the back stays clean and also removes oil that is a big cause of bacne.

4. Make sure to change the sheets on your bed as often as possible as the dirt and sweat that builds up on the sheeting can block the pores and cause further breakouts

5.(Optional) If you do not mind people seeing your bacne you could get someone to apply a treatment like benzoyl peroxide  at night. This is an extremely effective treatment for getting rid of acne as it dries up oil and kills the bacteria that causes acne.

These are my 5 tips on how to get rid of acne on your back. If after using all of the above tips you still do not see an improvement in your bacne I would advise contacting your doctor to see a skin specialist if it is really effecting your social life.

Hope this has been helpful and if you have any questions please leave a comment below.

Zit On Lip - How To Clear A Zit That Is Located Around The Lip!

Getting a zit appear on or around the lip area can be a very painful area and can also be one of the places that makes you feel very self conscious, at least for me anyway. When I went through a patch were I had several zits around the lip area I locked myself in the house and really did not want to face the outside world. If you are finding yourself in a similar situation I am giving you advice that is extremely important, do not let acne take over your life. Not only can stress and depression make your zits worse but they can also destroy your social life making thing more difficult. The point is that you should stay positive and remember that most people wont judge you on your acne and the ones who do are most likely virgins who cant get girlfriends or girls who are jealous and nasty.

Anyway now I have that part out of the way I am going to show you how I got rid of zits on my lips by using home remedies. The reason I used home remedies is because the chemicals that a lot of over the counter treatments have that could be dangerous if consumed. The results I achieved were more than i though but they did take over 30 days to completely get rid of the zits.

My Get Rid Of Zit On Lip Home Remedies

1. Apply toothpaste as a spot treatment to the zits and leave on overnight. The next day the zit should have dried out leaving only a mark.

2. Boil water and apply a towel over your lips, leave the steam from the water open up your pores and bring the infection to the surface, once the infection has come to the surface apply manuka honey over the zits as it is ant-bacterial, anti-viral and anti septic and this should remove the zit and also speed up the healing process.

3. Apply diluted lemon juice onto the zits. The acid should help by cleansing the zit. This may cause an adverse affect with some people, if the zits look worse after 3 uses stop using this method as it is most likely your skin is to sensitive for this remedy.

Do Not.......

Pick your zits or use a harsh exfoliating products as this will just inflame the acne and cause it to spread to other areas of the face. This is extremely important you avoid doing otherwise any efforts you make to clear your zits will not work because you will just keep spreading the bacteria to other areas of your face.

Hope this has been helpful and any questions please leave a comment below.

Diet To Clear Acne?

When trying to clear acne most people are using topical acne treatments to try and clear it, but for long term results that will prevent acne from returning you will need to tackle the root causes of acne. Eating a diet to clear acne is a great way to help clear acne once and for all.

There is a massive debate in the acne community and has been for a long time on whether diet has any effect on acne at all, and I can tell you right now that diet does have an effect on acne, in-fact I would say it is a massive contributor in acne. And the reason I say this will be backed up in this post.

What Are The Main Causes Of Acne?

  • Toxins
  • Unbalanced Hormones
  • Oily Skin
These are the 3 main causes of acne, there are many more but these are generally the reasons that most people get acne. And now to the next question.

What Causes A Build Up Of Toxins That Can Eventually Lead To Acne Breakouts?

  • Environmental Poisons
  • Chemicals in sprays etc
  • Food
When the liver has to much toxins to deal with it will send them to other organs, including the biggest organ of all the skin which will then help to remove them through the pores.

What Causes Hormonal Imbalances?
  • The Pill
  • Environmental poisons
  • Non organic animal products
  • Stress
  • Cosmetics
Non organic animal products, especially if pumped with estrogen will cause the hormones to become unbalanced. And everyone knows that when the hormones become unbalanced it leads to acne breakouts.

What Causes Oily Skin?

  • Bad Fats, Trans Fat And Greasy Foods
  • Hormone levels
  • Pregnancy
  • Birth control pills
  • Cosmetics you use
  • Humidity and hot weather
When consuming foods that contain a high amount of oil, grease and bad fats this will eventually show in the appearance of your skin. To avoid this try and minimize how much foods you eat that are in those categorise.

Now after listing the main causes of acne and also what causes them you can see that every single one can be caused by our diet. Know if you still believe that diet has no effect on acne then that is fine, but I would strongly recommend that you do your own research as I have and find out for yourself. Since I started my diet to clear acne I have seen a massive improvement not only in the appearance of my acne but also my over-all health and skin.

Natural Acne Treatments That Work - The Truth

I am fed up with 100s or 1000s of people online who are trying to sell you that miracle acne treatment, usually contained within an e-book, that will finally clear your acne in 3 days or less, but first you have to give me $49.99 for the information. O ye and I have never tried the product or suffered from acne but I'm looking for a fast buck from desperate acne sufferers.

Now obviously they do not tell you the last part, because I'm sure that would hurt there conversions, but I think you can all see where I am coming from and it really p****s me off as someone who went through years of pain to clear my acne, spending cash left, right and center only to find that the so called "miracle" piece of information that someone promised 100% would clear my acne turned out to be all fluff with no substance, with the worst part of all being the sickening feeling that you have to start again and look for the next so called "miracle" e-book or product that promises that it will clear your acne if you just buy it and if you don't you will forever regret it.

The Real Truth About Acne

Now for the part I'm sure none of you will want to hear. If you cant face the hard truth please hit the backspace now, otherwise get ready to learn something that I'm sure deep down inside you already know but are to scared to admit it. Here it is - There is no miracle cure for acne, there is no miracle e-book, acne facial cleanser or spot treatment that will clear acne, the only way your going clear acne and keep it from returning is by finding out what the root cause of your acne is, what external products work for you, and then finding the best way to help fix the root cause or causes in most cases.

Anyway here's the deal, I am going to list every natural treatment, book and DVD that I used to help me on my path to being acne free to help you hopefully clear yours to. This post will be extremly long but hopefully if you can reach the end you will leave here with a much better understanding of acne and what natural acne treatments you can use for not only clear skin but much better long term all round health and well-being.

Natural Hormonal Acne Treatments That Work

Everyone knows that hormones have a massive part to play in the cause of acne, and when you go through  the years of adolescence this is unavoidable. But if you think there is nothing you can do about it that is not 100% correct. You cannot stop the hormones becoming unbalanced because it is a natural process the body goes through when you are transitioning from a boy to an adult, but there are a few things you can do to help keep the body in the best balance possible. What I did that worked extremely well is yoga.

1. Yoga - When looking for for something to help balance hormones there is nothing better than yoga. In India it is even prescribed for certain problems or illnesses. Yoga works by doing postures that will help stimulate and balance the endocrine function. When you do these postures you are pressurizing and depressurizing specific glands. The hormonal balance comes from subtle compression and decompression's of the glands that regulate secretions bringing the body back homeostatic regulation. There are many yoga classes that you can join if you are interested  in learning some yoga postures, or alternatively you can use at home DVDs and books.

These are my personal recommendations:
Yoga Therapy Prescriptions - 60 Health Restorative Sequences ~ Laura Hawes - DVD
Yoga For Beginners - DVD
Yoga as Medicine: The Yogic Prescription for Health and Healing - Book

Herbal Acne Treatments That Work

If you are fed up with Western medication that only works to mask the symptoms why not try herbs that have been used effectively for 1000s of years to treat disease. There are many herbs that can help balance hormones but what works for one person may not work for the next, this is why you need to experiment until you find one that works for you.

Here's what works for me:
Triple Leaf Tea, Tea Bags, Detox, 1.4-Ounce Bags, 20-Count Boxes (Pack of 6)
Health Guard Herbal Acne Treatment
NOW Foods Organic Nettle Leaf Tea
Navitas Naturals Organic Raw Maca Powder

Natural Acne Scar Treatments That Work

When my acne started to clear day by day I started to realize red marks left were the inflamed acne used to be. After some research I soon discovered that these were not true ance scars but post inflammatory hyperpigmentation marks, which is what most acne suffers also have. The good news is because PHI is not true scaring it will clear naturally over time, the bad news is this can take up to 24 months. For me this is far to long so I decided to find best natural acne scar treatments that work to speed up the healing process.

Here is what I found to be most effective:
Aztec Secret - Indian Healing Clay, 1 lb clay -
East Cape New Zealand Manuka Honey Active UMF 18+ -

Homemade Acne Treatments That Work

Acne treatments that you make from items that you find in your cupboard can be as effective, if not more effective than most over the counter and prescribed acne treatments. Another bonus of using homemade ance treatments over over the counter and prescribed is the fact you are much less likely to get any long term side effects.

1. Oatmeal Mask - To make an oatmeal mask boil some oatmeal like you would if you were going to eat it (don't eat it), leave it cool and then apply over the entire face, leave on for at least 15 minutes. Oatmeal works because it is an astringent, which means it will draw out impurities from within the pores.

To Be Continued.

Best Treatment For Acne

Finding the best treatment for acne is they key for controlling acne. The problem is that finding the best treatment for acne can be very difficult because not one product will work for all people. Because of the different factors that contribute to the development of acne. Once you have found a treatment that works it is important that you use it twice daily to keep the pores clear, remove excess oil and dead skin cells.

Best Over The Counter Treatments For Acne

The best over the counter treatments for acne are ones that contain chemicals benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or tea tree oil. These chemicals/ingredients are the most popular and effective for getting rid of acne and acne scars.  Products that contain these ingredients are:

Benzoyl Peroxide
Proactiv
Neutrogena On-the-Spot
Clearasil
Oxy-10
Persa-Gel

Salicylic Acid
Neutrogena Acne Rapid Clear Daily Treatment Pads
Olay 7-In-1 Anti-Aging Salicylic Acid Acne Cleanse
DDF Acne Control Treatment
Stridex

Tea Tree Oil
Doctor D. Schwab Controlling Mask with Tea Tree Oil
Camella Acne Facial Foam Blemish Treatment Tea Tree oil
GlyMed Plus – Serious Action Skin Gel with Tea Tree Oil

When buying a treatment do not buy the first product that promises you to clear acne in 3 days or less. You want a product that is suited to your skin type, non comedogenic and oil free. If a product matches all of the criteria purchase it and test for 30 days, if there is no improvement stop using and try another with different active ingredients.

Best At Home Treatment For Acne

If you have run out of your over the counter treatment don't panic, this can cause further breakouts. Instead use a home remedy that can help to keep the pores clear until you get more product. My best home remedy for acne is:

Manuka  Honey - To use take a good amount and massage over the face for 20 to 30 seconds as you would  your normal cleanser, wash off with warm water.

This is a brillliant cleanser and could even end up replacing your normal cleanser as it is so effective.

Acne Scar Cream

When you have just cleared your acne and then find yourself left with the aftermath, acne scars! It can be very frustrating. But if your scars are light to moderate using over the counter acne scar cream will be sufficient enough to dissolve your acne scars. If you have serve acne scars then using acne scar cream will not be very effective. Contacting your doctor and getting a consultation with a dermatologist would be your best option if you are in that situation.

What To Look For When Purchasing Acne Scar Cream?

When looking to buy a cream for acne scars you need to look for ingredients that will dissolve the scar tissue. These ingredients include natural acids which are very effective at breaking down acne scar tissue. Other things to look out for are its non-comedogenic (doesn't block pores), oil free and free from harsh chemicals.

How Long Will Acne Scar Creams Take To Work?

Putting a number of days on this is impossible, but if you do not see any improvements after 30 days then it most likely the treatments is not working for you. If you find a scar cream that shows results in 3 days then it is going to be a very effective treatment and you should stick with it.

What Are The Side Effects Of Acne Scar Cream?

As with all topical treatments the usual reactions can occur such as swelling, inflammation, redness and flaking etc. These are common with all topical treatments but if they do occur stop using the product because you may be having a reaction to one of the ingredients inside.

Conclusion - If you have light to moderate acne scars and want a treatment that is affordable, effective and proven to clear acne scars with very little chance of side effects that you would get with surgery then acne scar cream is for you.

Acne Spot Treatment

If you see a zit appear before a party were your crush is attending then panic mode begins to set in. I know because I have been in this situation. But with acne spot treatment you have nothing to worry about because these acne spot treatments can zap away your zits very fast, sometimes even within 24 hours.

How Do Spot Treatments Work?

The way acne spot treatment works is by drying out the pimple and then it will naturally drop off or shrink. This is a lot safer than squeezing the zit or using a needle. Once the zit has dropped off you can then use a small amount of concealer if needed to cover any redness that still maybe visible.

What Are The Best Acne Spot Treatments?

Neutrogena On The Spot Acne Treatments
- This is considered one of the best on the spot acne treatmets. The majority if reviews on this are very good, with the main advantges being it clear pores, drys out pimples, soaks up excses oil, prevents future breakouts and doesnt make acne worse.

Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment - Another very highly rated spot treatment is the clean & clear advantage. With a high majority of reviews saying it helps reduce the size of pimples, doesnt dry skin, smells good and clears pimples very fast.

 Green Clay
- This is a natural acne spot treatment. It works by applying green clay onto your pimple and leaving on overnight. The green clay will absorb oil, reduce the pores and dry out the infeccted area.

How Often Should I Use Acne Spot Treatment?

You can use spot treatments daily and for most this should be fine, but if you find that the treatemnt is drying or flakking the skin then reduce the usge to every 3-5 days. If skin irrtaiton occurs such as redness, swelling or breakouts then stop using the product all together.

How Much Do Spot Treatments Cost?

The price range of most acne spot treatments is around $4 to $10 making them very affordable. They also usaly last beetwenn 2 to 4 months if the correct amoutn is used.

Conclusion - If you are looking for a fast solution to treating light to moderate pimples before a big formal event then using acne spot treatment is a good option. If you want something to treat serve acne and scars then spot treatments are not going to work.

How To Get Rid Of A Pimple Overnight!

The last post titled how to get rid of pimples fast I said that there was no way of getting rid of pimples overnight, and this is something that I still believe, but you can defiantly reduce the appearance and inflammation from pimples overnight, and this is what I am going to show you in today's post.

But first if you see a promotion or someone tyring to sell you something for your acne and they say it is a way of how to get rid of a pimple overnight it is either a scam or they have created a product that will revolutionize the acne industry and will not even need to push the product. I am telling you this because I have fallen into this trap many times and wasted $100s of my hard earned cash on a product with all the promises but without the results.

Anyway back to the main issue here, and what I am going to show you is how to get rid of pimples overnight at home, or at least how to reduce pimples at home overnight.

Step 1 - Use a cleanser, preferably one that is natural and created specifically for acne but is not essential.

Step 2 - Once the skin has been cleansed and imputes removed apply diluted lemon juice over the skin. To use just keep applying water to the juice until it does not burn the skin. Once you have achieved this massage over the skin and leave on for 15 minutes. This step will help to lighten the pimple as lemon juice is a natural skin whitener.

Step 3 - This steps requires you to place an ice cube for a couple of minutes over the pimple. This will help by reducing the swelling from the pimple.

Step 4 - In this step you will need to apply a good amount of benzoyl peroxide over the whole facial area and leave on overnight before washing off the next morning. This will help to kill the p.acne bacteria and remove dead skin cells to keep the pores clear.

Step 5 -  The last step is to apply a moisturizer to the skin. Using the correct moisturizer is important to avoid making your pimples worse. Use a oil free, non comedogenic moisturizer for the best results.

If you follow these 5 steps on how to get rid of a pimple overnight, or at least reduce the appearance of your pimples overnight exactly you should get great results, just do not use the routine daily as it can be harsh on the skin.

How To Get Rid Of Acne

How To Get Rid Of Acne? This is a question that must be asked millions of times a day. And the truth is no one knows how to get rid of acne exactly or nobody would have acne. That is the bad news, but there are steps you can take to reduce the chance of acne breakouts and help to speed up the healing time of existing acne.I am now going to show you what steps you can take to help prevent and reduce acne long term.

Facial Wash

To keep the pores clear and to help prevent acne you will need to use a cleanser that works for your skin twice a day, once in the morning and once in the night. Do not use a cleanser more than this unless necessary as you could aggravate the skin if you use a cleanser like some people do 5 or 6 times a day.

Moisturizer

A lot of acne suffers do not use a moisturize. I know because I did not myself for a long time, but after finding one that worked it has really helped the appearance of my skin. Just make sure that your moisturizer is oil free and non comedogenic (does not block pores.

Facial Mask

Using a facial mask weekly will help to give the skin a deep cleanser removing impurities that a normal cleanser will not be able to get to. One of the best facial mask for acne is green clay as it absorbs oil, dirt and imputes from deep within the pores leaving the skin looking bright and healthy.

Treatments

There are 100s if not many more acne treatments, but the two that are always talked about in the acne community as being the most effective are benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. Which one is the better is impossible to say as it varies from person to person. Some people say benzoyl peroxide is by far the most effective were others argue the same point about salicylic acid. The benefits of the two are also very similar in the fact they booth kill p.acne bacteria, remove dead skin cells, remove excess oil and help to reduce the redness from acne.

Diets

If you want to get rid of acne and keep it from coming back diet is very important. So for everyone who is asking hoe to get rid of acne remember no matter  what anyone says diet is very important. The reason I am telling you this is because many may try and convince you that diet has no link at all with acne which just isn't true.

Water

Acne or not drinking water is important. I would recommend drinking a minimum of 6 to 8 cups of water per day. This will help to flush the system and nourish the whole body.

Exercise

Doing a good 30 to 60 minutes of exercises such as running cycling and light workouts per day will help to get rid of acne. The way it helps is to clear toxins, get the lymph fluid moving quicker around the body and helps to higher the health of the over-all body.

These are the main things you will want to incorporate into your daily activities if you want to get rid of your acne, but even if you do all of the above there is still no guarantee as mentioned above you will clear your spots. Now you know how to get rid of acne go and take action and cleat your skin.

If you are seriously considering chemical peels for acne scars there are many things you need to consider first which is listed below in this post

People who are most suitable for chemical peels are those with superficial acne or acne scars alone, are the best suited for this type of treatment. But there are also a lot more factors that will contribute such as skin type, age, condition of skin and other health issues etc.

Chemical peels are one of the best and most effective for acne scars, and they are also much less likely to cause future problems that can occur if you get other types of similar treatments done such as laser surgery etc.

How To Treat Pimples

Yesterday I made a post on how to get rid of pimples fast. There was a lot of information in the post including how to treat pimple scars, diet for pimples and home remedies. So it basically covered everything that was needed to clear pimples fast, but some people only want to know how to treat pimples in a short post, so I have made this for anyone who is just looking for a short but effective way to treat pimples. The routine is going to be very similar to the last with a few added steps.

Step 1

Wash the face with an oil free cleanser. What cleanser depends on your skin type. I prefer to use natural cleansers as my skin is sensitive but the choice is yours, the important thing is it cleans the pores.

Step 2

Apply honey over the skin as a mask, preferably manuka honey but not essential. After it has been 30 minutes wash off with lukewarm water. The honey will help to kill the p.acne which is the bacteria that results from acne, and it will also give you a bright complexion.

Step 3

Apply benzoyl peroxide over the pimples at night, washing off the next day. Alternatively you could use tea tree oil, just make sure to dilute it. I use 8 parts water to 1 part tea tree oil but the mixture can vary depending on how sensitive your skin is. This will help to clean oil and kill acne bacteria.

Step 4

Use a non comedogenic oil free moisturizer over the skin. This is extremely important when using benzoyl peroxide as it drys out the skin. If the skin does start to become dry even after using a moisturizer applying avocado over the skin and leaving on for 30 to 60 minutes will help to re-hydrate and moisturize the skin.

Step 5

Repeat the process every 5-7 days. Do not do this everyday as the treatments unloved will be to harsh on the skin and will aggravate acne that can then lead to breakouts.

Additional Tips For Treating Pimples:

Reduce stress - You can do this by going to a spa, yoga or practising meditation.

Drink Water - Drink 6 to 8 cups if water per day. Important for everyone but if you suffer from acne is extremely important.

Healthy Diet - Eating healthy foods will also help. The best foods include cucumber's, berries and avocados.

Hope this post has been helpful on how to treat pimples. If you try the routine please leave your results below and also if you have any questions.

How To Get Rid Of Pimples Fast

If you are looking how to get rid of pimples fast you have come to the right place! By the end of this you should know exactly how to get rid of pimples fast and how to keep them from returning. But first off I need to say when I say fast I am talking about in 30 days or less, which is a fast time to clear pimples. If you see a website that claims to show you how to get rid of pimples overnight then it is not true, there is no way to clear acne that quickly.

Anyway now that I have cleared that up below is a routine that I used when I was 17 and managed to clear my pimples in around 30 days. I cannot promise you will have the same or better results as there are so many causes of acne, but you will only know what results you will get by following the steps exactly as outlined below.

How To Get Rid Of Pimples Fast At home

Use this routine every 3-5 days in the evening. Do not use everyday as it will be to harsh on the skin.

Step 1 - Use an oil free cleanser that is non comedogenic (does not block pores). Make sure to massage the cleanser over the entire face very light for a maximum of 30 seconds to avoid irritating the skin.

Step 2 - Apply honey, preferably manuka honey but not essential over the entire facial area. Leave the honey on for 30 minutes before washing off with warm water. This will help to kill p.acne bacteria and nourish the skin.

Step 3 - Apply aloe vera gel over the pimples leaving on for 15 minutes. The gel will help to reduce the redness and sooth the skin.

Step 4
- Using benzoyl peroxide 2.5% or 5%. Apply a generous amount over the pimples. Leave on overnight and wash off the next morning. The benzoyl peroxide will kill p.acne bacteria, absorb excess oil and remove dead skin cells.

Step 5 - Apply an oil free moisturizer that is suited to your skin type. Using a moisturizer is important, especially when using this routine because the benzoyl peroxide has a drying effect on the skin. And if the skin becomes to dry it will compensate by over producing oil which can then lead to more breakouts.

If you follow this How to get rid of a pimple fast at home regime you should see great improvements not only in your pimples but also the over-all appearance of your skin. If you have never used one of the above items I would strongly advise that you first do a reaction test by rubbing some of the item underneath your arm and seeing if any reaction occurs, if a reaction does occur to not use that item.

If you use the routine and think it is the best way to get rid of pimples please leave your experience and reactions below.

How To Get Rid Of Pimples Fast Home Remedies

These are additional home remedies that I have found to be effective for getting rid of pimples:

1. Lemon Juice (Diluted) - Applying lemon juice with a cotton ball over the skin will help to lighten the problem area. This is best used on pimple scars for the best results.

2. Tomato - Cutting a tomato in half and rubbing over the skin is another great home remedy for pimples. It helps as it contains beneficial vitamins such as vitamin c that protect and helps heal the skin.

3. Cucumber mask - Blending a cucumber and applying over the face helps by hydrating the skin. To use apply evenly and leave on for 30 minutes.

4. Ice packs - If your pimple is swollen applying an ice pack over it for 2-3 minutes will help to reduce the swelling.

5. Apple cider vinegar - Using ACV as a toner is great for preventing pimples. By putting the ACV in a spray bottle you can easily apply it over the skin, make sure to mix 50.50 first with water. As well as using ACV as a toner drinking it can also help treat the internal causes of acne. To use internally mix 50/50 with apply juice.

These are additional home remedies for pimples. You can add in these treatments into the routine if you wanted to but I would first use the routine for a minimum of 30 days to see what results you achieve and then decide on whether you are going too add any of the additional treatments.

Pimples Diet

If you are really serious about how to get rid of pimples fast then adding in some foods that are beneficial for skin health can help massively, and for anyone who thinks there is no link between diet and acne are wrong. I am sorry for being blunt but my skin went through a huge transformation when I stated eating healthier and was one oft the big factors of why I am clear now and I very rarely get acne breakouts, after-all the root causes of acne are internal.

1. Water - Drink 6-8 500ml glasses of water per day. Water flushes the body of toxins and hydrates the skin.

2. Avocado - The avocado is amazing. It is one of the only fruit that is fat based, and the fat is healthy fat which is beneficial for the skin.

3. Cucumber - The cucumber contains high amounts of water and essential vitamins and minerals that help the skin heal faster.

4. Berries - Eating berries is great for acne as they contain low amounts of sugar and a high amount of vitamin C and anti-oxidants which help to protect and heal the skin.

By adding in these 4 thing into your diet and reducing bad fats, greasy and unhealthy food is a massive step in clearing your acne long term and keeping it from coming back.

Well this has turned out to be quite a long post. Hope that you have found the information on how to get rid of pimples fast helpful. If you think there is something that needs to be added to the above please e-mail me or leave a comment below. Now go and get your skin back.

Salicylic Acid vs Benzoyl Peroxide

In the acne community two ingredients always get mentioned as being very effective in treating acne, and those two ingredients are salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. But if these two powerhouses had to go into a boxing ring together, salicylic acid vs benzoyl peroxide, which one would come out on top as the world champion? To answer this question I have put the pros and con of these two acne treatments below.

 Salicylic Acid Pros

1. Anti-Inflammatory

2. Reduces Redness

3. Oil-Soluble - Helps to get inside the pore and clear oil reducing the chance of getting zits and blackheads

4. Kills P.acnes bacteria. This is the bacteria that turns your acne into big red inflamed pimples

5. Removes dead skin cells

6. Clears pores.

Salicylic Acid Cons

1.  Makes skin sensitive to the sun.

2. Can irritate skin when on first few uses.

3. Have to continue use or acne can return to the condition before using salicylic acid.

These are the main pros and cons I have found when I used salicylic acid for my acne. There may be many more that I have left out. If there are any important ones not in the list please leave a comment below stating which one's and I will add them to the list.

Benzoyl Peroxide Pros

1.Kills p.acne bacteria

2. Prevents future breakouts

3. Clears dead skin cells

4. Absorbs excess oil

Benzoyl Peroxide Cons

1. Dryness

2. Irritation

3. Will bleach clothing

4. Allergies - Allergic reactions are rare with benzoyl peroxide but can occur in some people.

These are the pros and cons I have found when I used benzoyl peroxide to help clear my acne. Again of there are any other common pros or cons I have left out please leave a comment below.

Conclusion: Looking at and comparing the pros and cons of both salicylic acid vs benzoyl peroxide they are both very evenly matched with no real winners. But for the benefit of this post I am going to say that I find benzoyl peroxide better for my acne, but then there are also may people who would disagree and go with salicylic acid as being better at treating acne. So if you have never used either treatments I would suggest you use on for 30 days and monitor your results and then switch doing the same. By doing this you can see which one works best for your skin and then stick with that to treat your breakouts.

If you do track your progress on the two 30 day tests please stop by and leave your results.

Does Drinking Water Help Acne?

The Benefits On The Body From Drinking Water?
Before I discuss does drinking water help acne we first need to see what the benefits of drinking water is on the whole body to properly asses whether water can help clear acne. The benefits on the body from drinking water are:

  • Helps the body absorb nutrients much more effective
  • Helps with the metabolism
  • Flushes toxins from the body
  • Detoxifies the body
  • Protects and strengthen vital organs
  • Balance Hormones
The are some of the benefits that consuming water can have on the body. It is also important to remember that around 90% of our bodies consists of water.

Does Drinking Water Clear Acne?
When answering this question I like to look at some of the root issues that cause acne, and no it is not oily skin or impurities. Some of the root causes of acne are overload of toxins, deficient in vitamins/minerals, unhealthy organs, unbalanced hormones. Now If you move back up the page you will see that everything that water can help with are connected to what causes acne. So the answer to the above question does drinking water help acne then the answer is yes.

How Much Water Should I drink Per Day To Help Clear acne?
The amount of water per day that is recommended to clear acne can vary from person to person depending age, sex and how active you are as well as other factors, but a good rule to go by is eight 8 ounce glasses of water per day. Whether you have acne or not it is still essential do drink water everyday for over-all health.

Is It Better To Drink Tap Or Bottled Water To Clear Acne?
When it comes to the debate of tap water over bottled water they both have good and bad points. The Bad: Tap water is treated with chloride etc and bottled water can leach chemicals into the water from the plastic bottle. The Good: Tap water can be filtered to remove most chemicals, bottled water has been taken straight from the source and contains high amount of vitamins. When I was clearing my acne I used filtered tap water, mainly because I could not afford the cost of buying a ton of bottled water per week. But the truth is I would not worry to much what kind of source you are getting your water from as long as it is clean and safe it all works.

How Long Does Water take to help clear acne?
Putting a time on how long does it take for water to clear acne is impossible due to the many different factors, but a good way to see how effective a treatment is see how much after 30 days your acne has improved, if it is around 50% clearer you could estimate that 2 months until your acne is clear. But as all acne suffers know this is just a total guess due to the many different things that can trigger acne breakouts etc.
Does water added to beverages such as tea count?
No, only plain water counts as adding water to other beverages changes the structure of the water which will create different effects to the body.

A Super Mixture That Will Help To Blast Away Acne!
Every morning cut open half a lemon and squeeze the juice into a glass of water. This may taste very strange at first but it will help to clear toxins from the body and clean the insides. Do this daily and very soon you should see great improvements in your skin.

Hope this article has helped answer your question of does drinking water help acne. If you have any questions please leave a comment below.

How To Get Rid Of Zits Overnight

Zits! They always seem to appear at the most inappropriate times, usually when you have a formal event or important job interview etc. If you wake up to a big red puss filled zit and are wondering how to get rid of zits overnight? Or if it is even possible........then the good news is that it is possible! With the right routine and proper skin hygiene you can massively reduce or even completely get rid of zits overnight.

And I guess you now want to know were to find one of these routines to get rid of pimples over night right? And I guess you could buy some e-book someone is selling for $20.00 to find one of these routines, or you could get it from someone who has never suffered from acne who is just looking to make money from you, or you could scroll down this page and get my routine on how to get rid of zits overnight. A routine that I have used many times in the past with success and still use to this day. Anyway enough of me now just scroll down for the steps, just make sure to keep it secret or it might be stolen and sold on by someone trying to make a quick buck.

    Step 1
Get some hot water, place a towel over the zit leaving the steam to open the pore. This should take 10 to 15 minutes.

    Step 2
After the pores have opened use an oil free cleanser to clean the face.

    Step 3
Mix some green clay with rose water (plain water will also work) to create a paste like consistency. Once this has been achieved apply the mask over the face. Leave on for 30 minutes before washing off with warm water. The green clay will pull impurities, oil and dirt from deep within the pores. (Optional) Add in some blended garlic. This can help but will leave an unpleasant aroma for hours or even days later.

    Step 4
Put some ice into a cloth and hold over the zit. This will close the pores and reduce swelling.

    Step 5

Apply benzoyl peroxide over the zits before going to bed, leave on overnight. Wash off the next morning with warm water. The benzoyl peroxide will kill the acne causing bacteria.

By following all the steps outlined above on how to get rid of zits overnight your zits should have disappeared or reduced massively overnight. If there are any visible marks left you can cover them with a concealer, just make sure it is oil free and non-comedogenic. Hope these steps will help and come back soon for the next post.

How To Get Rid Of Blackheads On Nose - Read This!

If you want to know how to get rid of blackheads on your nose, which I assume you do and that's why you are on this page keep reading as I am going to show you my step by step method that I used to get rid of blackheads that were on my nose.

But before that we need to understand how blackheads are caused so we can have a better understanding of how to treat them.

     The Causes:

    • Excessive oil that has accumulated in the sebaceous gland's duct.
    • Make-up
    • Clogged pores
    • Oily foods

These are the most common reasons blackheads occur. And similar to zits they are very addictive to squeeze, but I would recommend against this as you could spread the bacteria or even cause permanent scaring.

Anyway now lets get onto what this post is about "how to get rid of blackheads on nose" I am going to list down my exact method I have used and also my friends and the success rate so far for this method is 100%, that's right everyone so far who has used this method to clear there blackheads from there nose has been successful in at least seeing a 50% improvement in there condition.

Step 1 - Do not squeeze your blackheads no matter how tempting it can sometimes be. Doing this as mentioned above will only cause things to become worse.

Step 2 - Put hot water into a container and place o towel over your face and lean over the container leaving the steam to open the pores.

Step 3 - After the pores have opened this should bring the blackheads closer to the surface. Mix some green clay with rose water any apply onto the nose. Green clay has a pulling effect and will bring out the blackheads as well has cleansing the pores. The mask should be left on until set then washed off with lukewarm water.

Step 4 - After the mask has been washed off now use a blackhead cleanser on the skin. This will help keep the pores clear and remove extra blackheads. Popular brands who make blackhead cleansers are clean & clear and neutrogena.

Step 5 - Apply cold water to close the pores and apply an oil-free non-comedogenic moisturizer.

This is my five step how to get rid of blackheads on nose routine. If you apply these steps every 3-5 days consistently and correctly you should see a big improvement in around 30 days or less, most people see an improvement after just the first time of following the steps. How To Get Rid Of Redness From Acne

Today's post is about how to get rid of redness from acne by using some very simple treatments. If you suffer from redness around your pimples this is often called "Rosacea", or more commonly known as adult acne. This type have acne usually appears because your body is disagreeing with something you are consuming. Could be a cup of tea, coffee, fruit or a multitude of different things. Other possible triggers could be direct sunlight or stress. If you think you know what is triggering the redness try and cut it out or minimize and track your progress to see if the problem clears.

    Other causes of acne redness:

To much Make-up - Wearing layers of make up blocks the pores meaning the skin cannot breath, this then causes breakouts and redness.

Harsh Products - Using harsh products on the skin is another major cause of redness. These products include exfoliating scrubs that are very rough to the skin, treatments with dangers chemicals and some oils.

These are the main reasons why people get redness on and around there acne. The good news is that there are many home remedies, over-the counter and prescription treatments that can help clear you off this skin condition.

I will list the treatments in sections, the first section will be home remedies, the second over-the counter treatments and the third prescription medication. The reason I am listing it in that order is because I would advise starting off with some home remedies, if they do not work try over-the counter products, and if you are still having problems I would then advise you to contact your doctor and see if you can get some prescription medication which will be listed at the bottom.

Here is the list of how to clear acne redness.......

    Home Remedies

    1. Ice Cubs - Holding a bag of ice cubs against the pimples for 15 to 20 minutes helps reduce inflammation and redness.

    2. Lemon Juice and Rose Water - Mixing 1 part lemon juice and part rose water and applying to the effected ares for 5 to 10 minutes will help reduce redness if done continuously (1 day) in around 2 weeks.

    3. Aloe Vera Gel - The gel from within the aloe plant is a wonderful skin treatment. It has an amazing cooling effect and will also help to reduce inflammation. You can either grow your own aloe for maximum potency or buy it already extracted from most health stores.

    4. Cucumber Slices/Blended - Cutting cucumber into slices or blending into a mushy paste and applying for 30 minutes as a face mask is my favorite home remedy for inflammation and redness. Cucumbers have a great effect on the skin as they contain a lot of water and are also alkaline which helps the skin become less acidic and balances the bodies natural pH levels.

    Over-The-Counter Treatments

    1. ZenMed Rosacea Support System - This 3 step system from ZenMed helps by preventing, calming and healing rosacea (redness). They have done years of research before releasing this product onto the market and they are so confident it will help they will give you your money back if you don't see results withing weeks of using it.

    2. Murad Recovery Gel Redness Therapy - This therapy from Murad is designed to strengthen the effected areas as well as soothe the skin. It also is said to control the symptoms an create nice healthy looking skin.

    3. Mario Badescu Anti-Redness Kit - This new anti-redness kit from Mario is a 3 step system that is designed to calm, soothe and reduce redness leaving a nice glow and younger looking complexion.

    Prescription Medication

    Topical Antibiotics

    Metronidazole (metrogel, cream)

    Benzoyl Peroxide

    AVAR Cleanser

These are applied externally to the skin and can take up to 9 weeks to see any results.

    Oral Antibiotics

    Erythromycin

These are taken internally and can work much faster as they tackle the root cause of the problem.

There are also many other topical and oral antibiotics but I have only listed the one's I have used on myself. For a list off all available treatments you can contact your doctor or go here Health Encyclopedia.

Hope this post has given you some ideas on how to get rid of redness from acne and I look forward to seeing you at the next post which will cover how to get rid of blackheads on your nose.

One way to get rid of scars from acne would be to spend your life savings on laser surgery etc, but for most of us that is not an option due to many different reasons. And in my opinion there is nothing better that natural remedies for treating acne scars.

Over the years I have used my fare share of treatments and have now narrowed it down to the ones that have been most effective for me and the people I have recommended these treatments to.

    These treatments are.......

    1. Manuka Honey: The manuka honey contains many active elements such as anti-inflammatory, anti-septic- anti-viral and also contains many more. 2. Aloe Vera Gel: The gel of the aloe vera plant can greatly speed up the healing of scars and reduce inflammation. Rub the gel of the aloe vera on the effected area daily.

How To Get Rid Of Pimple Scars

The question "How to get rid of pimple scars?" is a question I often get asked by friends who want to clear there scars like I did. So instead of telling them all one by one I have decided to share my tips on how to get rid of acne scars in this blog post so I can point them all to this and help others.

Tip 1: DO NOT scratch, pick, squeeze or touch the effected areas unless necessary. Not only can this spread infection but can also cause long term scaring.

Tip 2: Use an acne scar treatment that works best for you. I use manuka honey as my acne scar treatment but conventional treatments will also work very well such as zenmed.

Tip 3: Using lemon juice is another great way to get rid of pimple scars. Lemon juice helps by removing dead skin cells and can also lighten the scars making them less visible.

Tip 4: Drink 6-8 glasses of water per day. This is extremely important whether you suffer from acne or not, but super important if you do. Water helps by flushing the body of toxins and when you consider toxins are a massive cause of acne doing this alone can help acne and acne scars.

Tip 5: My last tip is very simple, effective and free......ice cubes! Get some ice cubes and wrap them in a clean cloth, apply to the effected areas and hold it on for 5-15 minutes. This will reduce inflammation and  the appearance of the acne scars.

These are the main things I use to get rid of my pimple/acne scars which have all been very effective for me. There are also more expensive and dangerous ways to remove acne scars such as surgery, dermabrasion etc but I would only recommend them if it was the only option left. If you have any questions please leave a comment below.

    3 Acne Treatments That Work

When talking about acne treatments that work, I am going to be listing what has worked for me. These acne products have all worked for me but will not work for all of you. Sounds harsh but I did not make this blog to mess people around and give false hope like the 1000s of other acne blogs who claim they have a miracle cure. So if you came here looking for an overnight acne treatment cure please leave now because you will be disappointed.

However if you came here to find acne treatments that have worked and helped many acne suffers over the years you have come to the right place and please carry on reading.

I am going to list the treatments from most effective to least effective in how quickly they helped clear my acne. And the 1st product in the list is......

    1. Manuka Honey - Everyone has heard of manuka honey and the benefits it can have. But for anyone who has never tried it I would recommend it 100%. I use UMF 15 as a mask every 3-5 days but it can also be used as a face wash daily. After using manuka honey even for the first time my skin had a nice glow and looked a lot fresher.

    2. Benzoyl Peroxide - I used BP when my acne was at it's worst ever. I applied a good layer of BP every night and left it on until the next morning. For the first 6 months it really helped clear my acne from being serve to mild, but I had to discontinue use because after 6 months as it totally dried out my skin leaving me with dry, cracking and peeling skin which wasn't a pleasant sight. There are also test to show that BP could also have some dangers side effects so I would not recommend it unless acne is really serve and there is nothing left to try.

    3.  Oy! Anti-Bac Foaming Face Wash - Many of you will not have heard of this acne face wash. It is made from natural and organic ingredients such as aloe vera, willow bark and omega 3&6 which are extremely effective for treating acne. This is what I have been using as my daily facewash and it has helped clear most of my acne and keep it from coming back.

These are the  top 3 acne treatments I have used and found to have been the most effective for me. I cannot guarantee that they will also be as effective for you because every-one's acne is caused by different problems. If you do try the above please leave a comment below with your results good or bad.

Hope this helps and see you at the next post.

My Story So Far With Acne

    Hello Everyone

This is my first post on this blog which I have created for anyone who suffers from acne and low-self confidence like myself, and is fed up of all the blogs and articles that people have created who haven't even suffered from acne.

I have written this post just to give anyone who visits here (if anyone) can get to know a bit more about me and hopefully I can get to know a lot more about you as-well. I am going to do this in a sort of list because otherwise it will get a bit boring. So here we go.....

    Name: Rob
    Age: 19
    Severity of acne: mild
    Confidence: Zero

OK. That is a bit about me. Sorry its short but I dint want to bore anyone with my first post by making it super duper long, and there is plenty more to come from me anyway.

And last thing I have created this blog not only to help others and myself but to have somewhere were acne suffers or anyone can come and socialize with each other and share problems and solutions.

Hope you enjoy and please feel free to ask anything.
