How To Get Rid Of A Pimple Overnight!

The last post titled how to get rid of pimples fast I said that there was no way of getting rid of pimples overnight, and this is something that I still believe, but you can defiantly reduce the appearance and inflammation from pimples overnight, and this is what I am going to show you in today's post.

But first if you see a promotion or someone tyring to sell you something for your acne and they say it is a way of how to get rid of a pimple overnight it is either a scam or they have created a product that will revolutionize the acne industry and will not even need to push the product. I am telling you this because I have fallen into this trap many times and wasted $100s of my hard earned cash on a product with all the promises but without the results.

Anyway back to the main issue here, and what I am going to show you is how to get rid of pimples overnight at home, or at least how to reduce pimples at home overnight.

Step 1 - Use a cleanser, preferably one that is natural and created specifically for acne but is not essential.

Step 2 - Once the skin has been cleansed and imputes removed apply diluted lemon juice over the skin. To use just keep applying water to the juice until it does not burn the skin. Once you have achieved this massage over the skin and leave on for 15 minutes. This step will help to lighten the pimple as lemon juice is a natural skin whitener.

Step 3 - This steps requires you to place an ice cube for a couple of minutes over the pimple. This will help by reducing the swelling from the pimple.

Step 4 - In this step you will need to apply a good amount of benzoyl peroxide over the whole facial area and leave on overnight before washing off the next morning. This will help to kill the p.acne bacteria and remove dead skin cells to keep the pores clear.

Step 5 -  The last step is to apply a moisturizer to the skin. Using the correct moisturizer is important to avoid making your pimples worse. Use a oil free, non comedogenic moisturizer for the best results.

If you follow these 5 steps on how to get rid of a pimple overnight, or at least reduce the appearance of your pimples overnight exactly you should get great results, just do not use the routine daily as it can be harsh on the skin.

How To Get Rid Of Acne

How To Get Rid Of Acne? This is a question that must be asked millions of times a day. And the truth is no one knows how to get rid of acne exactly or nobody would have acne. That is the bad news, but there are steps you can take to reduce the chance of acne breakouts and help to speed up the healing time of existing acne.I am now going to show you what steps you can take to help prevent and reduce acne long term.

Facial Wash

To keep the pores clear and to help prevent acne you will need to use a cleanser that works for your skin twice a day, once in the morning and once in the night. Do not use a cleanser more than this unless necessary as you could aggravate the skin if you use a cleanser like some people do 5 or 6 times a day.

Moisturizer

A lot of acne suffers do not use a moisturize. I know because I did not myself for a long time, but after finding one that worked it has really helped the appearance of my skin. Just make sure that your moisturizer is oil free and non comedogenic (does not block pores.

Facial Mask

Using a facial mask weekly will help to give the skin a deep cleanser removing impurities that a normal cleanser will not be able to get to. One of the best facial mask for acne is green clay as it absorbs oil, dirt and imputes from deep within the pores leaving the skin looking bright and healthy.

Treatments

There are 100s if not many more acne treatments, but the two that are always talked about in the acne community as being the most effective are benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. Which one is the better is impossible to say as it varies from person to person. Some people say benzoyl peroxide is by far the most effective were others argue the same point about salicylic acid. The benefits of the two are also very similar in the fact they booth kill p.acne bacteria, remove dead skin cells, remove excess oil and help to reduce the redness from acne.

Diets

If you want to get rid of acne and keep it from coming back diet is very important. So for everyone who is asking hoe to get rid of acne remember no matter  what anyone says diet is very important. The reason I am telling you this is because many may try and convince you that diet has no link at all with acne which just isn't true.

Water

Acne or not drinking water is important. I would recommend drinking a minimum of 6 to 8 cups of water per day. This will help to flush the system and nourish the whole body.

Exercise

Doing a good 30 to 60 minutes of exercises such as running cycling and light workouts per day will help to get rid of acne. The way it helps is to clear toxins, get the lymph fluid moving quicker around the body and helps to higher the health of the over-all body.

These are the main things you will want to incorporate into your daily activities if you want to get rid of your acne, but even if you do all of the above there is still no guarantee as mentioned above you will clear your spots. Now you know how to get rid of acne go and take action and cleat your skin.

How To Treat Pimples

Yesterday I made a post on how to get rid of pimples fast. There was a lot of information in the post including how to treat pimple scars, diet for pimples and home remedies. So it basically covered everything that was needed to clear pimples fast, but some people only want to know how to treat pimples in a short post, so I have made this for anyone who is just looking for a short but effective way to treat pimples. The routine is going to be very similar to the last with a few added steps.

Step 1

Wash the face with an oil free cleanser. What cleanser depends on your skin type. I prefer to use natural cleansers as my skin is sensitive but the choice is yours, the important thing is it cleans the pores.

Step 2

Apply honey over the skin as a mask, preferably manuka honey but not essential. After it has been 30 minutes wash off with lukewarm water. The honey will help to kill the p.acne which is the bacteria that results from acne, and it will also give you a bright complexion.

Step 3

Apply benzoyl peroxide over the pimples at night, washing off the next day. Alternatively you could use tea tree oil, just make sure to dilute it. I use 8 parts water to 1 part tea tree oil but the mixture can vary depending on how sensitive your skin is. This will help to clean oil and kill acne bacteria.

Step 4

Use a non comedogenic oil free moisturizer over the skin. This is extremely important when using benzoyl peroxide as it drys out the skin. If the skin does start to become dry even after using a moisturizer applying avocado over the skin and leaving on for 30 to 60 minutes will help to re-hydrate and moisturize the skin.

Step 5

Repeat the process every 5-7 days. Do not do this everyday as the treatments unloved will be to harsh on the skin and will aggravate acne that can then lead to breakouts.

Additional Tips For Treating Pimples:

Reduce stress - You can do this by going to a spa, yoga or practising meditation.

Drink Water - Drink 6 to 8 cups if water per day. Important for everyone but if you suffer from acne is extremely important.

Healthy Diet - Eating healthy foods will also help. The best foods include cucumber's, berries and avocados.

Hope this post has been helpful on how to treat pimples. If you try the routine please leave your results below and also if you have any questions.

How To Get Rid Of Pimples Fast

If you are looking how to get rid of pimples fast you have come to the right place! By the end of this you should know exactly how to get rid of pimples fast and how to keep them from returning. But first off I need to say when I say fast I am talking about in 30 days or less, which is a fast time to clear pimples. If you see a website that claims to show you how to get rid of pimples overnight then it is not true, there is no way to clear acne that quickly.

Anyway now that I have cleared that up below is a routine that I used when I was 17 and managed to clear my pimples in around 30 days. I cannot promise you will have the same or better results as there are so many causes of acne, but you will only know what results you will get by following the steps exactly as outlined below.

How To Get Rid Of Pimples Fast At home

Use this routine every 3-5 days in the evening. Do not use everyday as it will be to harsh on the skin.

Step 1 - Use an oil free cleanser that is non comedogenic (does not block pores). Make sure to massage the cleanser over the entire face very light for a maximum of 30 seconds to avoid irritating the skin.

Step 2 - Apply honey, preferably manuka honey but not essential over the entire facial area. Leave the honey on for 30 minutes before washing off with warm water. This will help to kill p.acne bacteria and nourish the skin.

Step 3 - Apply aloe vera gel over the pimples leaving on for 15 minutes. The gel will help to reduce the redness and sooth the skin.

Step 4
- Using benzoyl peroxide 2.5% or 5%. Apply a generous amount over the pimples. Leave on overnight and wash off the next morning. The benzoyl peroxide will kill p.acne bacteria, absorb excess oil and remove dead skin cells.

Step 5 - Apply an oil free moisturizer that is suited to your skin type. Using a moisturizer is important, especially when using this routine because the benzoyl peroxide has a drying effect on the skin. And if the skin becomes to dry it will compensate by over producing oil which can then lead to more breakouts.

If you follow this How to get rid of a pimple fast at home regime you should see great improvements not only in your pimples but also the over-all appearance of your skin. If you have never used one of the above items I would strongly advise that you first do a reaction test by rubbing some of the item underneath your arm and seeing if any reaction occurs, if a reaction does occur to not use that item.

If you use the routine and think it is the best way to get rid of pimples please leave your experience and reactions below.

How To Get Rid Of Pimples Fast Home Remedies

These are additional home remedies that I have found to be effective for getting rid of pimples:

1. Lemon Juice (Diluted) - Applying lemon juice with a cotton ball over the skin will help to lighten the problem area. This is best used on pimple scars for the best results.

2. Tomato - Cutting a tomato in half and rubbing over the skin is another great home remedy for pimples. It helps as it contains beneficial vitamins such as vitamin c that protect and helps heal the skin.

3. Cucumber mask - Blending a cucumber and applying over the face helps by hydrating the skin. To use apply evenly and leave on for 30 minutes.

4. Ice packs - If your pimple is swollen applying an ice pack over it for 2-3 minutes will help to reduce the swelling.

5. Apple cider vinegar - Using ACV as a toner is great for preventing pimples. By putting the ACV in a spray bottle you can easily apply it over the skin, make sure to mix 50.50 first with water. As well as using ACV as a toner drinking it can also help treat the internal causes of acne. To use internally mix 50/50 with apply juice.

These are additional home remedies for pimples. You can add in these treatments into the routine if you wanted to but I would first use the routine for a minimum of 30 days to see what results you achieve and then decide on whether you are going too add any of the additional treatments.

Pimples Diet

If you are really serious about how to get rid of pimples fast then adding in some foods that are beneficial for skin health can help massively, and for anyone who thinks there is no link between diet and acne are wrong. I am sorry for being blunt but my skin went through a huge transformation when I stated eating healthier and was one oft the big factors of why I am clear now and I very rarely get acne breakouts, after-all the root causes of acne are internal.

1. Water - Drink 6-8 500ml glasses of water per day. Water flushes the body of toxins and hydrates the skin.

2. Avocado - The avocado is amazing. It is one of the only fruit that is fat based, and the fat is healthy fat which is beneficial for the skin.

3. Cucumber - The cucumber contains high amounts of water and essential vitamins and minerals that help the skin heal faster.

4. Berries - Eating berries is great for acne as they contain low amounts of sugar and a high amount of vitamin C and anti-oxidants which help to protect and heal the skin.

By adding in these 4 thing into your diet and reducing bad fats, greasy and unhealthy food is a massive step in clearing your acne long term and keeping it from coming back.

Well this has turned out to be quite a long post. Hope that you have found the information on how to get rid of pimples fast helpful. If you think there is something that needs to be added to the above please e-mail me or leave a comment below. Now go and get your skin back.

Salicylic Acid vs Benzoyl Peroxide

In the acne community two ingredients always get mentioned as being very effective in treating acne, and those two ingredients are salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. But if these two powerhouses had to go into a boxing ring together, salicylic acid vs benzoyl peroxide, which one would come out on top as the world champion? To answer this question I have put the pros and con of these two acne treatments below.

 Salicylic Acid Pros

1. Anti-Inflammatory

2. Reduces Redness

3. Oil-Soluble - Helps to get inside the pore and clear oil reducing the chance of getting zits and blackheads

4. Kills P.acnes bacteria. This is the bacteria that turns your acne into big red inflamed pimples

5. Removes dead skin cells

6. Clears pores.

Salicylic Acid Cons

1.  Makes skin sensitive to the sun.

2. Can irritate skin when on first few uses.

3. Have to continue use or acne can return to the condition before using salicylic acid.

These are the main pros and cons I have found when I used salicylic acid for my acne. There may be many more that I have left out. If there are any important ones not in the list please leave a comment below stating which one's and I will add them to the list.

Benzoyl Peroxide Pros

1.Kills p.acne bacteria

2. Prevents future breakouts

3. Clears dead skin cells

4. Absorbs excess oil

Benzoyl Peroxide Cons

1. Dryness

2. Irritation

3. Will bleach clothing

4. Allergies - Allergic reactions are rare with benzoyl peroxide but can occur in some people.

These are the pros and cons I have found when I used benzoyl peroxide to help clear my acne. Again of there are any other common pros or cons I have left out please leave a comment below.

Conclusion: Looking at and comparing the pros and cons of both salicylic acid vs benzoyl peroxide they are both very evenly matched with no real winners. But for the benefit of this post I am going to say that I find benzoyl peroxide better for my acne, but then there are also may people who would disagree and go with salicylic acid as being better at treating acne. So if you have never used either treatments I would suggest you use on for 30 days and monitor your results and then switch doing the same. By doing this you can see which one works best for your skin and then stick with that to treat your breakouts.

If you do track your progress on the two 30 day tests please stop by and leave your results.

Does Drinking Water Help Acne?

The Benefits On The Body From Drinking Water?
Before I discuss does drinking water help acne we first need to see what the benefits of drinking water is on the whole body to properly asses whether water can help clear acne. The benefits on the body from drinking water are:

  • Helps the body absorb nutrients much more effective
  • Helps with the metabolism
  • Flushes toxins from the body
  • Detoxifies the body
  • Protects and strengthen vital organs
  • Balance Hormones
The are some of the benefits that consuming water can have on the body. It is also important to remember that around 90% of our bodies consists of water.

Does Drinking Water Clear Acne?
When answering this question I like to look at some of the root issues that cause acne, and no it is not oily skin or impurities. Some of the root causes of acne are overload of toxins, deficient in vitamins/minerals, unhealthy organs, unbalanced hormones. Now If you move back up the page you will see that everything that water can help with are connected to what causes acne. So the answer to the above question does drinking water help acne then the answer is yes.

How Much Water Should I drink Per Day To Help Clear acne?
The amount of water per day that is recommended to clear acne can vary from person to person depending age, sex and how active you are as well as other factors, but a good rule to go by is eight 8 ounce glasses of water per day. Whether you have acne or not it is still essential do drink water everyday for over-all health.

Is It Better To Drink Tap Or Bottled Water To Clear Acne?
When it comes to the debate of tap water over bottled water they both have good and bad points. The Bad: Tap water is treated with chloride etc and bottled water can leach chemicals into the water from the plastic bottle. The Good: Tap water can be filtered to remove most chemicals, bottled water has been taken straight from the source and contains high amount of vitamins. When I was clearing my acne I used filtered tap water, mainly because I could not afford the cost of buying a ton of bottled water per week. But the truth is I would not worry to much what kind of source you are getting your water from as long as it is clean and safe it all works.

How Long Does Water take to help clear acne?
Putting a time on how long does it take for water to clear acne is impossible due to the many different factors, but a good way to see how effective a treatment is see how much after 30 days your acne has improved, if it is around 50% clearer you could estimate that 2 months until your acne is clear. But as all acne suffers know this is just a total guess due to the many different things that can trigger acne breakouts etc.
Does water added to beverages such as tea count?
No, only plain water counts as adding water to other beverages changes the structure of the water which will create different effects to the body.

A Super Mixture That Will Help To Blast Away Acne!
Every morning cut open half a lemon and squeeze the juice into a glass of water. This may taste very strange at first but it will help to clear toxins from the body and clean the insides. Do this daily and very soon you should see great improvements in your skin.

Hope this article has helped answer your question of does drinking water help acne. If you have any questions please leave a comment below.

Zits! They always seem to appear at the most inappropriate times, usually when you have a formal event or important job interview etc. If you wake up to a big red puss filled zit and are wondering how to get rid of zits overnight? Or if it is even possible........then the good news is that it is possible! With the right routine and proper skin hygiene you can massively reduce or even completely get rid of zits overnight.

And I guess you now want to know were to find one of these routines to get rid of pimples over night right? A routine that I have used many times in the past with success and still use to this day. Step 1
Get some hot water, place a towel over the zit leaving the steam to open the pore. This should take 10 to 15 minutes.

    Step 2
After the pores have opened use an oil free cleanser to clean the face.

    Step 3
Mix some green clay with rose water (plain water will also work) to create a paste like consistency. Once this has been achieved apply the mask over the face. Leave on for 30 minutes before washing off with warm water. The green clay will pull impurities, oil and dirt from deep within the pores. (Optional) Add in some blended garlic. This can help but will leave an unpleasant aroma for hours or even days later.

    Step 4
Put some ice into a cloth and hold over the zit. This will close the pores and reduce swelling.

    Step 5

Apply benzoyl peroxide over the zits before going to bed, leave on overnight. Wash off the next morning with warm water. The benzoyl peroxide will kill the acne causing bacteria.

By following all the steps outlined above on how to get rid of zits overnight your zits should have disappeared or reduced massively overnight. If there are any visible marks left you can cover them with a concealer, just make sure it is oil free and non-comedogenic. Hope these steps will help and come back soon for the next post.

    • Excessive oil that has accumulated in the sebaceous gland's duct.
    • Make-up
    • Clogged pores

How To Get Rid Of Redness From Acne

Today's post is about how to get rid of redness from acne by using some very simple treatments. If you suffer from redness around your pimples this is often called "Rosacea", or more commonly known as adult acne. This type have acne usually appears because your body is disagreeing with something you are consuming. Could be a cup of tea, coffee, fruit or a multitude of different things. Other possible triggers could be direct sunlight or stress. If you think you know what is triggering the redness try and cut it out or minimize and track your progress to see if the problem clears.

    Other causes of acne redness:

To much Make-up - Wearing layers of make up blocks the pores meaning the skin cannot breath, this then causes breakouts and redness.

Harsh Products - Using harsh products on the skin is another major cause of redness. These products include exfoliating scrubs that are very rough to the skin, treatments with dangers chemicals and some oils.

These are the main reasons why people get redness on and around there acne. The good news is that there are many home remedies, over-the counter and prescription treatments that can help clear you off this skin condition.

I will list the treatments in sections, the first section will be home remedies, the second over-the counter treatments and the third prescription medication. The reason I am listing it in that order is because I would advise starting off with some home remedies, if they do not work try over-the counter products, and if you are still having problems I would then advise you to contact your doctor and see if you can get some prescription medication which will be listed at the bottom.

Here is the list of how to clear acne redness.......

    Home Remedies

    1. Ice Cubs - Holding a bag of ice cubs against the pimples for 15 to 20 minutes helps reduce inflammation and redness.

    2. Lemon Juice and Rose Water - Mixing 1 part lemon juice and part rose water and applying to the effected ares for 5 to 10 minutes will help reduce redness if done continuously (1 day) in around 2 weeks.

    3. Aloe Vera Gel - The gel from within the aloe plant is a wonderful skin treatment. It has an amazing cooling effect and will also help to reduce inflammation. You can either grow your own aloe for maximum potency or buy it already extracted from most health stores.

    4. Cucumber Slices/Blended - Cutting cucumber into slices or blending into a mushy paste and applying for 30 minutes as a face mask is my favorite home remedy for inflammation and redness. Cucumbers have a great effect on the skin as they contain a lot of water and are also alkaline which helps the skin become less acidic and balances the bodies natural pH levels.

    Over-The-Counter Treatments

    1. ZenMed Rosacea Support System - This 3 step system from ZenMed helps by preventing, calming and healing rosacea (redness). They have done years of research before releasing this product onto the market and they are so confident it will help they will give you your money back if you don't see results withing weeks of using it.

    2. Murad Recovery Gel Redness Therapy - This therapy from Murad is designed to strengthen the effected areas as well as soothe the skin. It also is said to control the symptoms an create nice healthy looking skin.

    3. Mario Badescu Anti-Redness Kit - This new anti-redness kit from Mario is a 3 step system that is designed to calm, soothe and reduce redness leaving a nice glow and younger looking complexion.

    Prescription Medication

    Topical Antibiotics

    Metronidazole (metrogel, cream)

    Benzoyl Peroxide

    AVAR Cleanser

These are applied externally to the skin and can take up to 9 weeks to see any results.

    Oral Antibiotics

    Erythromycin

These are taken internally and can work much faster as they tackle the root cause of the problem.

There are also many other topical and oral antibiotics but I have only listed the one's I have used on myself. For a list off all available treatments you can contact your doctor or go here Health Encyclopedia.

Hope this post has given you some ideas on how to get rid of redness from acne and I look forward to seeing you at the next post which will cover how to get rid of blackheads on your nose.
